Think beyond the after photograph
Clear aligner treatment is a partnership. Wearing your aligners as directed, looking after your teeth and following a retention plan all matter beyond the photographs.
Follow your prescribed wear schedule, keep up your oral hygiene and remove aligners for eating and drinks other than water. Invisalign generally advises around 20–22 hours of daily wear; your dentist will give your own instructions.
Use a protective case when aligners are out, attend reviews and ask for advice if an aligner is lost, damaged or no longer fits properly.
Teeth can move after orthodontic treatment. Retainers help maintain their positions, so follow the plan prescribed for you and arrange a review if a retainer is damaged or does not fit.

Yes. The 20 cases in this gallery are existing Enhance Dental patient cases treated by Dr Joseph Paino. Each case keeps its original before and after pairing. The separate aligner, ClinCheck, case and retainer images illustrate products or planning; they are not additional patient results. A photographed outcome belongs to that individual patient and cannot guarantee the same change for someone else.
The gallery includes crowding, gaps, rotated or prominent teeth, narrow smiles, crossbites, a deep bite and an open bite. Some recorded treatment plans included extractions, which are clearly identified in the captions. These Invisalign results show the variety of the original cases. Suitability for clear aligners depends on a clinical assessment. Suitability depends on your teeth, gums, bite and treatment goals.
Look at tooth alignment, spacing and the relationship between the upper and lower teeth, rather than judging tooth colour alone. Lighting, camera angle, lip position and the stage at which a photograph was taken can affect the appearance of a smile. Tap an image to view its larger original. A similar-looking starting point does not mean that the same treatment or result is appropriate. Tooth shape, gum health, bone support, existing dental work and the bite can differ substantially. Dr Paino will assess your own records, discuss your priorities and explain the realistic options and limitations. The aim is an individual plan that takes both appearance and dental health into account.
The original case information records 13 months for Case 01 and 15 months for Case 11. Treatment durations were not supplied for the other cases, so we have not invented them. Your estimate depends on the movements needed, the complexity of your bite and your progress. Wearing aligners as prescribed and attending reviews are important; additional aligners may sometimes be needed.
Several original case descriptions identify extractions used to create space or manage the planned tooth movements. This does not mean that everyone with crowded or protruding teeth needs extractions. Your dentist needs to consider your examination, records and alternatives. Any proposed extraction is a separate clinical decision, with its reasons and risks explained before consent; a specialist opinion may be appropriate.
Clear aligners may be suitable for some bite concerns, and this gallery includes examples. The cause and severity of a bite problem matter, including whether it involves tooth positions or the jaws. A photograph cannot answer that question. Your assessment may lead to Invisalign, another treatment approach or referral to a specialist orthodontist. The options and their limitations should be clear before you proceed.
ClinCheck is used to plan and discuss proposed tooth movements. It is a digital treatment simulation, while the gallery photographs record individual patients before and after treatment. A preview helps you understand a proposed plan, but it is not a photograph of a completed result or a guarantee of the final outcome. Actual progress is monitored during treatment and the plan may need adjustment.
Follow the wearing and changing instructions given for your own treatment. Possibly. Braces and clear aligners move teeth, while bonding or veneers change aspects of tooth shape or appearance and do not straighten the underlying tooth positions in the same way. Sometimes a combination is appropriate, and sometimes no treatment is needed. Discuss the benefits, limitations, maintenance and costs of the clinically suitable options. Your preferences matter, alongside the health of your teeth and gums.
Tooth movement can involve discomfort and other risks, and planned movements are not always fully achieved. Gum health, oral hygiene, the bite and wearing aligners as directed all matter. Your dentist will explain the risks relevant to your circumstances, possible alternatives and the need for ongoing retention. If extractions or another invasive procedure are proposed, those require their own discussion and informed consent.
